Went to Gyu-Kaku, a Japanese BBQ place this past week. It was their soft opening of their first restaurant in Norcal, so everything was 30 percent off. We had to wait 2 and a half hours, so while we were starving and waiting, we had Beard Papa's. My first time trying it, good, but not something I would eat a lot of. The only downfall of Gyu-Kaku was the huge wait. The staff were friendly and the food was pretty good. So if you plan on trying it out, go early (they open at 5pm) or wait a couple months til the hype dies down. We had a bunch of meat, which we cooked ourselves at the table, and some sides. They're different from other DIY BBQ places because of their selection of meats. Try it out and see what you like.
